Two new classrooms

St. Ignatius Secondary Boarding School in Nthalire is pleased to have received new desks and beds. Thanks to a joint project between the Umckaloabo Foundation and the organization “BILD – Ein Herz für Kinder,” two new classrooms were equipped, which means that more young people can now study and live at the boarding school in Nthalire.

Further work at the lighthouse project

St.-Ignatius in Nthalire was the first “School in Africa” which the Umckaloabo Foundation began financing in 2015 with donations raised by the Africa Runners. We were already able to open the school in 2017, and since then we have continued to work on this lighthouse project. It has enabled many students to graduate with exceptionally high grades, while several others have finished with a solid education and left the school ready to take their future into their own hands.
