MALAWI - St. Mauritius at the forefront once again

St. Mauritius Secondary School in Livingstonia, Malawi, has once again achieved excellent results in this year's Junior Certificate Examinations, placing fourth in the national ranking of all secondary schools. 89% of students achieved good or very good final grades in the nationwide standardized exams. This was reported in a press release issued by the Malawi National Examination Board (Maneba) on August 18, 2025.

St. Mauritius is at the top once again. The secondary school was built with donations raised by the Africa Runners to bring new educational opportunities to young people in this remote region. 

The school was officially inaugurated at the beginning of 2023. From the very beginning, the students achieved excellent results.

The students performed especially well in mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology and agriculture, as well as in the foreign languages English and French.

Thanks to their efforts, the Foundation's extensive investments in building and supporting secondary schools in Malawi are achieving the desired goal: to provide motivated students with good teaching by a dedicated team of teachers, thereby creating better future prospects for young people in Malawi.
