It has gotten cozy at the Jabulani Day Care Center: Cynthia Isaacs is taking care of 42 children there these days. Now she wants to have more space for the children – and hopes to be able to take in even more. The need is great!
Jabulani Day Care Center - a second home
The Jabulani Day Care Center was opened nearly twenty years ago, and ever since then it has served as a home away from home for countless children.
The Umckaloabo Foundation has been supporting the Jabulani Day Care Center for many years now. It is heartwarming to see how beautifully this institution has been developing – and at this point, it has to be expanded.
Working on early education
With the help of her team, Cynthia Isaacs provides extremely important early education at the Jabulani Day Care Center. The children who come to her experience a sense of security and appreciation; they practice skills that will serve them in life and at school; they get to know a sense of community and discover their world through play. It is wonderful that we can now significantly increase the space they have!
Raising money in Switzerland
Our partner organization Nangu Thina will assist in expanding the facility and the infrastructure. A team of colleagues from Schwabe Pharma Switzerland has held a variety of fundraising activities and managed to raise the remarkable sum of €4,000 in donations! This will allow us to cover the costs of teaching materials and supplies for this daycare center as well as others in the Eastern Cape region.
